More flex can make it easier to drive on high grip carpet by softening response. But at 25.5 speeds on d-compound tires, I really doubt you'd notice. You've got a ways to go with basic setup work and maintenance, just getting it into a window where you're more comfortable with it and keeping it working consistently from run to run.
