No you actually have a bit better performance as the resistance on the pack is a bit lower due to the 10AWG. If you want you could put 10AWG on your ESC but that can be hard to do with some ESCs.

Size of wire and wire length has an impact on resistance. Keep your wires as short as possible and still have them connect without to much stress and you will have lower resistance.

Many seem to want to buy the best packs but don't pay attention to good connectors and wire length. These have an impact on performance.
