That combo is a HPI part number that's manufactured by Castle, that's why it doesn't show up on Castle's website, it shows up on HPI's. I'm not sure on which esc model you have to select in castle link to adjust the settings, I would try sidewinder first and see if it recognizes it, mamba max pro would be second choice.
For the heat problem, check to make sure the car rolls smooth and nothing is binding. What battery are you using? You should be using 7.2-7.4 volt batteries. Higher voltage batteries on that combo can create heat. Also, gearing can cause heat. It might be geared for too much speed so a smaller pinion or bigger spur may help. How hot is the esc getting? Can you touch the heatsink for 4 seconds before it feels like its burning? How long does it take for it to heat up when running? Adding a fan does cool things down, but if you have a bigger problem they won't help much.
