What i did was solder the black wire to the red wire and left the white one by itself. It's perfectly fine and the calibration ability remains intact. All you have to do to re-calibrate is touch the white wire to the other 2 when needed. Car stays on and haven't had anymore issues with it turning off unintentionally.
