I have come to the conclusion that not everyone's setup will work for me, even with their best efforts to try to help. In the last week I stopped banking on what works for everyone else, and started to learn what works for me and my driving style by trial and error. Granted i'm not running the same springs or times as the fast guys but I shaved about two seconds off of "my" lap times in a week.
I appreciate everyone's help at the track greatly, but I feel I used their info to help me learn more about my car and how to tune it in the right direction.
That's a good way to go about it. Pretty much what I do is trial and error too. I learn a lot that way. I wouldnt expect to copy my local pro setup it just wouldnt work. However I can tell him what is wrong with my car and he can help me get it tuned in faster. Just make sure you are asking the right question "What spring should I run" Not "what are you running".
