I'll make two comments about this situation based on what I have read:

1) I am glad the On Road Worlds are going to be in the US next year

2) With all the moaning and b****ing and arguing and complaining, "you can please some of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, all of the people some of the time, but you can't please all of the people all of the time". Somebody was going to complain regardless of where they held the race, whether it was all asphalt, all carpet or 12th on carpet/ISTC on asphalt. Schedule an extra day or two of practice in your preparations before leaving if youre running 12th and go for that world championship.
