In a nut-shell, if you are a beginner to intermediate driver; NO. If you are an excellent driver looking to get that last nth degree of improvement; possibly.

Best bang-for-your buck on lightweight upgrades (IMO) are (1) AAA battery pack($23 -- 25 grams) and (2) lightweigth 2-sp($55 -- 20 grams), and (3) light-weigth chassis($75 -- 20 grams), (4)Aluminum body shocks($60 -- actually heavier than stock plastic case shocks).
