I totally feel you on this one. I had the same problem. Check your outdrives, and your drive pins. I had a first batch of the EB48, I emailed Tekno and told them my problem. They told me the same thing i just told you. I really didn't see how the outdrives (granted they were soft in the first batch) where the problem, since i heat treated mine to RC56 and didn't tell anyone.
I dropped one on the ground and the outdrive end broke off. In the email, they told me that they were soft, not hard...I don't know if someone made a mistake in chine or what...BUT I watch my outdrives / drive pins like a hawk now and haven't had a problem in a long time. I do give them a shot of lucas chain lube before I run it tho
