I have been running my BR-6 off and on for the past three months while I work on completing my medical program. I have been slowly working on a good outdoor setup. I am pretty much running Gene’s setup and I have been focusing on dialing in my shock setup. Overall, the Br-6 is a blast to drive. It has plenty of steering and traction is amazing. During a race I often hear my fellow racers complain about traction from other brands, but I feel I have too much traction and often need to make few adjustments to the buggy to have less traction. As I mentioned, Gene’s setup has been working great, the only difference is shock position. I am currently running,
Low traction:
Front upper tower position second hole from inner hole and out on the arm.
Rear upper tower position second hole from inner hole and out on the arm.
Med/High traction:
Out on both front and rear shock towers. Inner hole on arm for the rear and outer hole on from arm.
Piston/shock oil
VP 1.25 6 hole. Two holes drilled out to 1.4. Front shock oil 600 and rear 500.
Here’s a link to the AKA race series with my Br-6 second big race at CVRC. White front, orange body with blk wing and yellow rims (start @ 49 sec of the video). The Stiker EVO UF was awesome. My ride height was too high so it slowed me down around the corners but the buggy was really fun to drive. Buggy is definitely getting faster with a few changes here and there. Enjoy!
