Under power, adding pins should be similiar to increasing diff fluid weight in a fluid filled diff.
However, since the "lock-up" action in the RC Shox diff with pins should be proportional to the torque on the spur gear, it's a little different then a simple fluid filled diff.
Also, under braking shouldn't the RC Shox diff always be very free???
Last season I was running my RC Shox diff without any pins and really liked the effect on the truck on our 1/8 low traction/rough outdoor track.
