Watch how hot you are running your motor too, the heat will transfer through to the diff.
The center diff was definitely hot. I'll put it down to build error, resulting in no diff fluid.
Guess diff disassembly should be part of the weekly ritual.
It was a first batch run.
Oil is rather good at cooling... I think "air" cooled 911s have 8-9 quarts.
