I tested out the modification and it worked great. Since the car's front part of the chassis and wing was not dragging, I was able to turn better and carry more speed overall. I TQ'ed in qualifying and finished second in the 8 minute main which included one 10 second pit stop. I have the new lower arm tree on order and hope to get it on May 19th.
