I noticed this too so I made new plates that clear the body.
However I preferred to move the body posts to the forward hole, using the set screw method and spacers. It's a good location on the body and still makes it easier to remove the battery.
For me, I need to loosen or remove the 2 screws that secure the shock mounting plate in order to get my battery out easily. Having the posts there will make this more difficult.
