Out at the track to practice this weekend car got loose in one section of track, i clipped a pipe and cracked both front hinge pins in half. Lucky i read about them and had another set. Yesterday at a big race someone i know has the E buggy and same thing happened to him in warm ups plus he snapped the caster block. Now i know with any car you should always have spares of things but i think its a little ridiculous that 2 minor hits will make these things snap so easy
I have 2 BR-6 and a BR-6E and I have never broke or bent a hinge pin. But Intech is now making them softer so they will bend rather then snap. We will have them in the USA in a month or two.
Maybe there was just a bad batch where they were over hardened as none of us here in FL have ever snapped one. Or maybe cold weather was causing it.
The only part I have broke in 6 months is a servo saver upper arm. But I had the nut cranked down. An alum is coming though.
