I had similar issues on my rc boat. Sounds like the motor/esc is drawing more than what ur batts can supply. To solve this, i raised the cutoff voltage to 3.2-3.4v ( the last 20% capacity of ur batts can do alot of damage. and use lead free solder on the plugs.(require higher temp to melt).
