Alas, yes! I am having the same issue. But, I figure I have had the car for a while and have run it both indoors and in some pretty extreme weather outdoors, it may be time to replace the chassis and upgrade.

Not sure what to upgrade to though. XRC or the BMI?

Any arguments for either?

BMI is quality... In regards to the split cell chassis that Nismo runs, it is only good for Carpet tracks. It will burn up your front rubber tires if you race on asphalt, too much weight forward.
BMI makes three chassis versions- 1-batteries moved 1/8 farther forward (more room for electronics), 2-batteries moved 1/2 a cell or .350 thousands forward (if you run small electronics). Both of these chassis are great for indoors and outdoors. And 3- split cell chassis, batteries on the opposite side of the servo side, are moved as far forward as possible, only for carpet.
Give Jason at BMI a call.

I own 2 BMI .350 chassis and am awaiting a split cell to come in the mail.
