Now there is an interesting question not related to the motor/ESC flavor of the day!
You guys call it what you want, but I ran 4wd SCT for the last +3 years with an all carbon fiber Hyper10, and keeping the diff fluid in the gear boxes was typically a biweekly thing. I sold all my diff fluids and switched to grease, and ran the last +1 year with never having to add any...Loved the neutral feel, and week to week consistancy. I ran a little lighter stuff in the front and rear, and a little heavier in the main diff. When a diff leaks, the fluid goes into one of the outer bearings and can cause it to slow on that side negating traction and other wierd things.
Now since I sold that truck and switched to the Tekno, I kept with my thinking. I figured the Tekno would have better tolerances and such, but I didn't have any diff fluids anymore, and didn't feel like buying any, nor goofing around with them...Sorry manufacuturer's...(bet if this gets out prices drop on diff fluid) And I once again put grease in the diffs...Well, the trucks worst finish to date is 2nd place, and its very consistant.
