Last year I booked through Hotwire.com and was able to get airfare and hotel for around $900 for the week. You will have to travel a different airline than Hawaiian though but if you can deal with stopping in LA it can save you a decent amount of money. And, if you want to stay in the same block of rooms that are set for the IIC you will need to upgrade the room.
Even with all that I still saved around $300-$400
