When it comes to being sponsored, if the equipment is no good I would not run it regardless of a sponsorship. I support the products I run because I really do believe in them. I run the 2250 because thats what I have in my box, I will be ordering an 1800kv. Yes there is not much top speed difference but there is a power difference and they both drive differently. I was not bragging or boasting about anything. I have been doing this for over 20 years now and my days of bragging are long behind me. I just think you misunderstood my reason for posting, which was to forewarn racers to check the bearings in the motor before it is too late. Things take a little longer for me to accomplish because I am 1 handed so some maintenance goes unchecked sometimes, and I`m sure if I were more diligent I would have caught the bearing before it failed.
I`m not flaming either, I just wanted you to hear my position on this matter..................Now back to talking about the Great Tekno products

I agree, hobbywing stuff has served me well. My 150 amp xerun has worked awesome so far and i've had no issues. On a side note, I think everyone on here would love to see a new 8th scale esc based off the xerun 150 amp. Get rid of the switch, smaller footprint, and adjustabilty on par with tekin and castle software. That would be my idea of the perfect 8th scale esc. All the other 8th scale esc's have big downfalls that led me to choose the hobbywing. Viper vtx-8 is sensored only, tekin rx-8 seems fragile from everything i read, and castle's MMM is unsensored only. While the existing 150 amp xerun is great and i will continue to run it, all you'd have to do is make a couple changes in the form of a v2, and hobbywing would dominate the 8th scale electronics market, and fill the gaps the competition left behind.
Anyway.......now that tekno is going to release carbon shock towers, are there any special procedures to do when using them on the buggy? Somebody mentioned having to sand, and then seal them to protect the carbon from splitting on direct impacts. Is this accurate, or are they just bolt on and forget about it?
