I have had some long email conversations with Stan, and i get it. I had a LT4 go bad on me after about 6 months of use, and we went through all the procedures to see what failed. I ended up buying a ~$20.00 replacement board, dropping it in and fine ever since.

He tests everything before it leaves, as many people that claim to get these DOA doesn't add up.

I think it comes down to most people not willing to admit they screwed up and burned it up.

RC electronics are very fickle, and subject to horrific abuse. Heat damages them over time, as well as vibration, and also moisture if they are left in less than ideal conditions (car trunk, garage, etc) Not to mention hooking them up backwards, overgearing, pulling to much amperage through the BEC, bad soldering, etc.

I have 5 of these speedos, and they all get used 2x a week between me and my kids at the track. I have only had the one issue, which i tracked back to a stage going bad in a cheap hobbywing motor.

Hell, i wish he would make an 1/8th scale ESC, i would buy it in a heartbeat. I am more than happy with his products. They have all lasted a very long time with regular use.
