If the RX suffers a brown out (common with Savox servos on Spektrum receivers) it can cause the transponder to momentarily shut off and not count a lap. We had that happening at our track until we moved the loop further away a turn.
Separate issue. The transponder is subject to the same voltage sag as the receiver. The receiver contributes very little to the voltage the transponder is seeing.
The Savox servo could certainly be contributing to the missed laps issue though.
