They are very well know for there low resistance, plus with them been polarised and male female there is no risk of connecting things wrong. and it makes life very easy to swap things in and out of the car.
It's only a matter of preference.It's very convenient using plug. U need to bring always soldering iron if u prefer direct soldering. But it looks neat.
