I have been charging at 10 amps for 2 seasons, While i do not notice any decrease in performance, the internal resistance has gone up slightly.
I use a turbo 35 with the newest software & revtech 2s 65c batteries.
I now charge at 12amps, 4.27v per cell, and have zero issues with the batteries.
And i almost never balance them
The high charge rate damaging batteries in only a few months pertains to NiMH batteries. Most of the newer LiPo batteries can be charged at 1 to 2 c with a balancing port with little degradation in performance. Until they begin to reach their max number of cycles. Usually in the 200's. Then their voltage will begin to fall off quicker from max and capacity will begin to fall off quickly.
