The high charge rate damaging batteries in only a few months pertains to NiMH batteries. Most of the newer LiPo batteries can be charged at 1 to 2 c with a balancing port with little degradation in performance. Until they begin to reach their max number of cycles. Usually in the 200's. Then their voltage will begin to fall off quicker from max and capacity will begin to fall off quickly.
