Good MG servo but cheap also, use 24 spline or "H" servo horn for hitec

you can go cheaper or you can go dearer but you get what u pay for.

Hobbyking has the cheapest batteries and motors and escs I know of.

the higher C rating ones will offer more acceleration

LiPo or nimh/nicad charger powered from 12volt car battery:
get the power supply for it for like under $10 from hobbyking if u want to charge in the house, just dont charge at more than 5amps when using the AC power pack

If one day you decide to race then most of this gear is approved for racing also

You can also buy from a local hobby shop but for the same sort of gear you will be more than likely paying double, and you mentioned you don't want to pay heaps

Unfortunately the roller is usually the cheapest and easiest part to get, its the radio, charger, batteries, tools and electronics thats the more expensive part.

I tried to include some info to help as you are new, but to help you with everything would take a lot of typing, lol Good luck and hope you have fun
