im currently using the parma clear tape since it is readily available at my track and i found if i take some scotch pad to the chassis and bottom of esc it holds on better. In the past i have used the novak clear tape which is similar to the parma stuff.
FYI: If you need some tape that holds insanely good, get the MIP double sided tape. Its the white colored stuff and doesnt peel off easy after use though.
Yeah they aren't the cheapest, i have ordered them off of ebay and for one set shipped its $20. You get what you pay for with them and im really wanting to try some of their other products. I recently ordered 2 more pairs for my other rides i like them that much.
As for the slipper, im running the triad since i got it before the vts was out but am very happy with it. I set it on the bench by blipping the throttle ever so gently and i get it to do about a 1 1/2-2 inch wheelie with just blipping it and im sure it will raise more if i hold the throttle with my 7.5 or 8.5 but i dont want to overheat it. Then on the track i can hear it make the all familiar whine noise as im accelerating hard before a large jump and im guessing for about 3-4 feet and while its slipping its still accelerating keep in mind. NOTE make sure your diff is properly adjusted when checking your slipper.
With my triad i rarely check the setting unless im having trouble clearing something or i had to remove it for some rare reason.
Hope that helps
I do the same thing as well to check my slipper, but if I remember correctly some users have mentioned in the past its not the best way to check your slipper with a stock motor in which I'm running. And they've mentioned to run it on a straight to test it that way. So I was just wondering what you do and look for to test it that way.
