The stock setting is 10 on the slidder which equates to 3 deg of timing advance. This obviously is not much.
What others have been say is correct. If you have hot wire do adjust "advance timing" on your RX8 you can adjust the slidder from 0-100. 100 on this setting adds 30 of timing so as you adjust the slidder you are getting a percentage of 30 deg of the max timing you can add to this system.
