Not fully compressed, it needs to be uncompressed enough so that it still "contains" the bearing. Too compressed, and the bearing has nothing to sit in. Run it JUST like the manual says, but CA glue the two halves of the servo saver together before you install it all. Make sure its glued nice and true, and it doesn't take much, you don't want extra CA dripping down the inside of the servo saver. Once dry, install like the manual and only compress the spring as much as directed.

There is no one answer for how much weight to run in your truck... it 100% depends on the grip level of your track. On a loose track with low grip, you would run more weight to increase traction. On a very high traction track, you may want a lighter truck to take away traction....
