Several of our guys are running 3800kv castle motors or 10.5 sensored motors. Our first race back in June 2012 the winner took out a 5700kv castle and installed a 17.5 rtr type motor and won.
On diff oils I've seen everything from bone stock all the way up to locked spools run well at our track. The HR piece is a good piece. I haven't used it yet but it's installed.
As ALLRACER said, he has had great success with the Proline transmission.
