Kraig, yes and yes.
If the track upgrades, MRT's will likely not work 100% of the time if at all.
If they don't upgrade to RC4 the new 3 wire PT's won't work.
The majority of tracks seem to be doing the upgrade, I would trade in or dump your MRT's if you have them..imo
