Another question .. have you ever played around with shimming the pivot assembly as a tuning feature.. add shims under the plastic assembly on the main chassis and one under the pivot ball on the pod plate.. this should end up making both chassis and bottom plate flat again (compared to each other) .. the end result would be more pod movement/travel up/down .. just curious if you've ever tried that.
Yes I did. This changes the rear Roll Center of the 12th scale and takes away rear grip. On high grip tracks it makes the car 'flip' / traction roll easier. I have not experienced more 'travel' of the main chassis, compared to the Pod Plate, but also never measured it.
