...supply and demand would seem to indicate that if this current "trend" continues that 1.16's would become the "new 1.15's" and the price would (should?) drop accordingly for those 1.16 packs. The reason for the higher price on the "higher" voltage packs is relative scarcity. If the base line has risen, it effectively creates a new "floor". The benefit is then the consumer gets a better battery for the dollar (yen/yuan/Euro/insert currency of choice) and it is revenue-neutral for the matchers compared to the previous norm of getting lots of 1.15s.
