I'm pretty sure the only non-stock RB6 parts he's running are the front axles and the rear arms. Just consider those to be tuning aids. It shouldn't worry you at all.
I actually see it as a huge benefit that we can still use RB5 parts on this new kit. When Losi dropped the 22 there was almost zero interchangeability with the old XXX series.
