Sucks yeah?, same situation at our last meeting, two people showed with new RC4 transponders, while we are still using RC3 decoders.

You may have to ponder on one little extra thought I had, we had/have club transponders to use, but you then need to remember MyLaps has stopped production of these some time back, and are actively trying to buy back units (via trade ins), but even keeping them they won't last forever, so it's one other way they obviously want to force RC4 on everyone.

With the track record we are now seeing from MyLaps, I'll just throw out a crazy theory, and say give it 2-3 years, my bet is the club transponders and original AMB/pt will be fazed out with another firmware upgrade, meaning you will require a RC4 Hybrid or RC4 to race anywhere with a MyLaps decoder.
