Our experience at our track with big jumps and short take-offs that require oodles of punch is that the VTS holds up dramatically better than the avid. Even some of the avid sponsored guys run the VTS here because the triad has simply melted down on them in short order. That was our experience with it. Most run with the standard 3 pad vts setup as well. It's not insistence as much as experience and longevity.
