Mine didn't strip, they worked fine. I just wanted the clamping hexes so I could leave them on the axle instead of them always sticking inside my wheels. I did have issues with stripping axle pins (stock ones) with the stock hexes, so I also got solid pins with the aluminum hexes to eliminate that problem.
