Battery (type, freshness), traction compound, tires, transmission freeness, weight, suspension setup, driving line/momentum going into the straight might be some of the differences.

New batteries are faster. Bearings with less or no oil are faster. Better traction compounds for better acceleration. 40 ~ 80 grams on front bumper for better corner entry and acceleration (depending on track condition).

Or aftermarket speed tuned gears.

Mine are with body. But with brushed system. I think brushless esc are 30grams heavier, and not sure on motor. If you are allowed to remove the plastic chassis handles, esc/receiver plastic holders, battery holders, etc... that will take off another 50 grams.
