People bash Traxxas because its associated with.being marketed towards the younger crowd as an entry level rtr rc. The revo is more versital than a truggy. You can bash it, race it, mod it, bash it some more. My next project is an e revo. A truggy... well it was built for racing...
I don't think the Revo is more versatile than a truggy...and I know for sure that truggies can outbash revos by a looooooongshot!!! You cannot compare durability between the two. And There is tons of room for customization of truggies!!
Here's my D8t truggy using a Vorza chassis, Emaxx bug body, and MT4-g3 tires. If you saw this thing run side by side with the e-revo you'd experience the revo looking like a Toys r Us toy.....durability, performance, handling.....no comparison.
