What a car right out of the box!

Had our first race meeting of the year last night and our first outing for the XB4. I got to the track early and made some work on the setup to suit our dry and dusty conditions here in WA.

I settled on some shock settings with 6 hole 1.1 pistons but 2 holes in each piston drilled to 1.5 and 500cst front and 450cst rear oils, front lower shocks moved to the inside hole and 7k oil in the rear diff. The only other deviation from the box clay setup was using the .5 rear hinge pin holders facing inwards to narrow the rear end 1mm overall.

Car felt great to drive and I had to learn how to take advantage of the gear diff corner exit speed. Once I worked it out a bit I managed to win both qualifiers and the second final. I monged it in the first final and was 10th after the first lap but was able to drive back from there to second place.

There were 4 XB4's running last night and no one broke anything or suffered a failure. I saw one of my team mates fiercely testing the durability of the parts with some spectacular crashes and was surprised there was no damage after reading all the issues on the net.

Overall from me it's 3 thumbs up!
