One other thing popped into my head on racer ettiquette. When we start the mains at the end of the night everyone should play follow the leader for the first few turns at least. This lets everyone get up to speed and everyone settled in.

A good clean start gives everyone a chance for a good result. You can never win a race in the first corner, you can only lose it.

Spike can and will call off starts that are not done properly or fairly.
