for sure in my st and sc10, the top plate strips out way less. all of that mass being held on by those 4 underside screws beats the crap out of the plastic top plate. Less of an issue with the b4, but still can be an issue on harsher tracks. like concrete clay. I always found the carbon front arms to be more brittle. So I run the plastics. But on high bite, the stiffer arms will be more consistent as a tuning option.
Side note. For my kids sc10, I replaced the 4-40 screws with 3mm screws on her sc10. The 4-40 holes were stripped. 4 weeks and the 3mm seems to bite way more on the plastic top plate. (the screws that mount the bumper to the chassis.
