Trust me, I've probably owned twice as many cars as you have, including (GASP!) an EB48 that actually came with a body.
There are a couple different reasons for that though: 1) a buggy body can be fit in the box and not change the size drastically if at all, 2) it was a brand new platform that didn't have any aftermarket body support.
