You can use Low profile servo for gas/break and a normal servo for steering for better balance.
You can use the alu servo horns that Capricorn sells of use plastic ones.
Notice: Good plastic servo horns are from Team Magic that don't break. (Have for Sanwa & Futaba Servos). Check Capri servo horns width.
