Wrong, it greatly affects the cars consistency on turn in, helps on corner exit but lap times will suffer over all.
Like I posted in his other thread, Acetone on a rag. A quick wipe on the actual edges can "shine" them up a little too. It evaporates so fast there's no worry of actually affecting the glued edge.
