Perhaps the reason why it only had 0.5 mm A-B measurement is because the flywheel now sits more outward due to slightly smaller hole diameter that sits on the brass cone... Just guessing.
Are these clutch assemblies done on the same engine, Mark? Are is this a new engine you're fixing the clutch on? Not every engine is the same. Some may have more spacing than others.
Anyway, check to see how your stock old flywheel sits the same distance on the brass cone with the same shimming on the engine.
