I'll add to that - be ready to play with rear toe and anti squat. For some reason the xxx-s was always very sensitive to that in VTA. If it is loose in the rear and your tires are right - don't be afraid to put lots of toe in into it (via the hubs) and the inner hinge pin options can make a big difference too. It is an easy car to change anti squat on in the back and getting it right can really make the car come alive.
In the front I usually ran the arms parallel to the chassis.
The xxx-s can still be very competitive at a club level on everything but a very high bite layout. It is a great low maintenance club car as long as you can get parts. It was a favorite of mine for quite a while.
