Tom, you'll be cutting it close keep wheel spin to a minimum. If the track is wide open smooth flowing/rally style do not drive the car deep into the corners/lift early and allow the rolling resistance to slow the car down (literally drive without using brakes). This will be the most fuel efficient drive habit to pick up on.
