Most people don't search what products are available in what country. Simple Green or I imagine there is some similar citrus substitute in the U.K. is a degreaser so it will get rid of many oils and residue. Also dish soap, such as Dawn (but I don't know if Dawn is available in the U.K.) is a mild degreaser and will get rid of most oils and residue. For me I just whisk the brush against something to remove most of the foam, rubber, and track debris. I don't get oil on my electric cars but using a brush to remove oil isn't going to help much it will just smear it. I would use a paper towel or shop rag and a degreaser to remove oil or nitro residue.
