The booster would take the voltage of 6v to the receiver/servo/pt directly so what the speedos internal booster was doing is irrelevant.. you can actually disconnect the red and black wires that go from speed control to receiver to be sure, and even connect the booster into the receivers channel 2 socket, and then connect the white signal wire from the speed control into the spare plug in the booster.
