LOL if you think the MIP kit is just eye candy, you definitely have never driven an SCTE with that kit, and have questionable taste in what looks good. The MIP kit reduces weight, moves what's left lower and to the rear for ~50/50 weight distribution, and includes shock pistons that you can tune compression separately from rebound. It even moves the center diff rearward, so you run the front driveshaft in the rear, and vice-versa. Personally I think the white chassis looks ugly, but it's worth it for the performance gain.
One good side-effect...it makes you not want to wreck ever, because when you put it on it's lid, it's like...hey look at me, my chassis is bright white and I'm upside-down!
+1 My scte with the mip kit is so nice to drive.
I may pick this up to run on the bigger outdoor 1/8 scale style tracks.
