I like the stick over the shorty as well. I'm not sure if it's the weight or the distribution of weight.

I also tried two different different stick packs and the lighter pack was more noticeably lighter and jumped farther, but was unsettled easier. I only adjusted ride height, I didn't change oil or springs for the weight difference. I didn't think the weight was that big of an issue, but it did handle different. I like the feeling of the heavier pack but I was faster with the lighter pack.
